Quizzer is now on iOS

The Quizzer app is live on the App Store. It is free, it works on iPhone and iPad, and it needs iOS 15.1 or later.

What it does

Finding a pub quiz is harder than it should be. The good ones live on a chalkboard outside the pub, a Facebook post from March, or a poster someone took down. Quizzer puts them in one place.

Find quizzes near you. Browse weekly quiz nights across the UK, filter by location, and see what is on tonight or later in the week. Plenty of pubs run a quiz without ever telling the internet about it. Those are the ones worth finding.

Save your favourites. Tap save on a quiz and the app reminds you on the day it runs. No more remembering on Thursday that the quiz was Wednesday.

Everything you need before you go. Each venue listing has the address, phone number, website and socials, so you can book a table before you turn up with six people and nowhere to sit.

Reminders, not spam. A nudge on the day your saved quiz is on. That is it.

Why we built it

Quizzer started as a list. We wanted to know where the quizzes were, so we went and found out, one pub at a time. Phone calls, pub websites, socials, and a lot of walking past chalkboards. That list turned into the website, and the website has turned into an app.

The dataset is the point. Every listing has a venue, a night, a start time, an entry fee and a prize, checked rather than guessed. When something is wrong we fix it. If you spot a quiz we have missed or a detail that has gone stale, tell us and it gets updated.

We list quiz nights for free. If you run one and it is not on Quizzer, send us the details at hello@quizzerapp.co.uk and we will add it.

We also host quizzes ourselves under Quizzer Original, with the questions written, the sheets printed and the night run for you. If your pub has a quiet night that could do better, get in touch.

What is next

Android is in testing and will follow. More venues are being added every week, with coverage expanding across London and England and now Glasgow and Edinburgh.
